Today's riddle: What is something you always have, but also leave behind? 🤔 (Answer below!)
Weather forecast:
• Senate panel rejects Business Enterprise Tax cut (unionleader.com) — A Salem state representative, Joe Sweeney, is leading a push to cut New Hampshire’s Business Enterprise Tax, but a key Senate panel just rejected the House’s rate reduction in favor of a narrower break for the smallest firms. The bill now heads to the full Senate, with nursing home funding and state revenue trends likely to shape what happens next.
• From School Bus Safety To Decomposing Bodies, NH Senate Takes Action (indepthnh.org) — State lawmakers advanced several education and family-law bills that will affect Salem families, including a parental alienation measure backed by Sen. Daryl Abbas of Salem that could change custody decisions starting in 2027. The Senate also passed tougher school bus safety rules, new standards reviews, and livestock cruelty changes, while rejecting natural organic reduction of human remains and several proposed fee increases.
