Derry Police Arrest Atkinson Man On 10 Counts Of Child Sexual Abuse Images After Cyber Tip Investigation

DERRY, NH — A local man was arrested this week on child sexual abuse image charges.

Jonathan Pelosi, 52, of Bayberry Drive in Atkinson, was arrested at 5:17 p.m. on July 22 on 10 felony counts.

According to police, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber tip and investigated it. Derry police, according to a statement from Capt. Jonathan Breen of the Derry Police Department, are participating members of the NH ICAC investigatory team.

"The Derry Police Department investigation was assisted by ICAC members from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department, Merrimack County Sheriff's Department, Nashua Police Department, Seabrook Police Department, and the Atkinson Police Department," he said.

After being arrested, Pelosi was held without bail, per statutory requirement, and was held at the Rockingham County Jail. He was arrested in Salem District Court on Thursday. A probable cause hearing will be held on Aug. 10.

Pelosi, according to superior court records, was arrested on intoxication or under the influence of drugs; penalties charge in Londonderry in February 2003. The charge was dismissed in 2004 due to a mistrial after a district court appeal.
