DERRY, NH — An elderly homeless man was arrested earlier this week, accused of exposing himself to children in the parking lot of a restaurant.
Leon Surette, 80, was arrested on Tuesday on indecent exposure/sex act, child under 16 and indecent exposure/gross lewdness, child under 16 charges, both felonies.
Around 7:15 p.m., police were requested to the McDonald's Restaurant on Crystal Avenue for a report of a man who was exposing himself.

When they arrived, they located the suspect, Surette, spoke with him, and arrested and charged him.
Surette was held on preventative detention and taken to the Rockingham County Jail. He was arraigned on Wednesday and released on personal recognizance pending a probable cause hearing.
Capt. Jonathan Breen, the division commander-operations for the Derry Police Department, said the investigation was ongoing. Anyone with information was also requested to contact the department at 603-432-6111.
