Applications Are Open For Salem's Citizen Police Academy

Space is limited for the eighth annual class which starts in September and runs through November. Applications are due on Aug. 31.

SALEM, NH — The Salem Police Department is pleased to announce the schedule and opening of the application process for the eighth annual Citizen Police Academy, according to a press statement. The Citizen Police Academy continues to be made possible due to a generous donation from the Salem Exchange Club. The Academy is open to residents of Salem over the age of 18 as well as any Salem business owner, noted Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department.

Classes will run on Tuesday nights from Sept. 12, 2017, until Nov. 21, 2017 with one Saturday class scheduled. Most classes will be held at the Salem Police Department between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m.
