Health & Fitness
I'm participating in the SNAP Challenge.
Please join me to experience what life is like for millions of low-income Americans living on the average daily allowance of only $4.

Starting on Monday, June 17, I will be participating in my own SNAP Challenge. SNAP is the Supplemental Nutriotion Assistance Program, a program which millions of Americans rely on everyday for food and drink.
I'd love for you to join me in this challenge, and together we can gain some quality insight as to what it is like for people in Salem, across New Hampshire, and all over these United States.
These are the guidelines I will be living by for just five days, however too many Americans in this struggling economy have to live like this for years.

All food purchased and eaten in this time must be counted in total spending - this includes dining out.
During this time, do not eat any food purchased prior to the start of the Challenge.
Whenever possible, avoid accepting free food from family, friends and coworkers since these opportunities are not always available to those in need.
Eat as healthy as possible, keeping in mind that this is how many people eat every day, whereas you can make up for lost nutrients next week.
