Romney on Jobs

A little information regarding Gov. Mitt Romney's jobs plan

Barack Obama has been president for the past three years and nation’s unemployment rate of 9.1% last month shows no signs of improvement anytime soon. I must point out an earlier article that I had written regarding Obama’s lack of leadership by passing up an opportunity announce his job plan. If Barack Obama felt that jobs and the economy are the number 1 issue on the mind of every American today, why didn’t he grab the bull by the horns and take the lead on this issue? Just maybe he doesn’t have a plan and was hoping to gets some hints from one of his potential opponents.

Today Republican candidate for President Mitt Romney delivered his plan for job growth in America. His plan calls for reducing or eliminating several taxes, use of more U.S. oil, coal and natural gas and slashing federal spending. Romney stated that job creation and economic growth will be his top priority and will start on day one by submitting five bills on his first day in office if elected to the presidency. He went on further to say he would do everything within his power to ensure these bills are passed, because they will:

  • Cut our dependency on foreign energy
  • Implement trade agreements with countries like Columbia, Panama, and South Korea
  • Reduce the corporate income tax rate
  • Consolidate federal retraining programs and returning the funding and responsibilities for these programs back to the states
  • Cut discretionary spending

Romney, also said “America should be a job machine: jobs being created all the time, people looking for employees to join their enterprises.”  For more information of Mitt Romney’s job plan go to www.mittromney.com
