The fourth annual Family Fashion Show and Auction held recently was the most successful ever.
“With the support of our sponsors, auction and drawing donors, board, staff and volunteer families sharing their children, grandmothers and dads with us as models, we’ve met our fundraising goal for today’s event,” said Cindy Jury, executive director of Salem Family Resources. “This event, together with the generous support of our foundation supporters, the Town of Salem, and individual donors, helps us fund important programs and services, such as Parenting & Play Groups, The Learning Cooperative preschool and our new Ready…Set…Go series that educates parents and caregivers of young children prepare their preschoolers for school.”
The event took place at the historic and elegant Searles Castle in Windham, where the organization presented its fourth annual Children’s Champion Award to Salem resident and nationally renowned child development expert and author Charlie Appelstein.
