The 2012 New Hampshire Gubernatorial Speaker Series

   The New Hampshire Gubernatorial Speaker series will be held at Rockingham Park in Salem on consecutive Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. starting on July 10. This will be a great opportunity for local residents to hear all five Democrat and Republican governor aspirants individually tell us about their candidacies, including their ideas and plans on subjects ranging from property taxes, expanded gambling and job creation, along with many other important issues. And as each candidate will have his/her own defined evening in the spotlight, this will be a golden opportunity for them to clearly define their visions for the Granite State, without the distractions of a formal debate.

   The lineup is as follows :

   July 10 - Jackie Cilley (D)

   July 17 - Kevin Smith (R)

   July 24 - Maggie Hassan (D)

   July 31 - Bill Kennedy (D)

   August 7 - Ovide Lamontagne (R)

   These should be very informative evenings in what will be an extremely important election season both locally and nationally. So mark those dates, come out and get to know New Hampshire’s next governor, as well as the other contenders. And even check out some candidates who you don’t know very well or even necessarily agree with - you may be pleasantly surprised.
