What's Up at the Salem NH Farmers Market?

At farmers’ markets in communities across America, people are searching for healthy food that’s grown on nearby farms.  Meeting this demand will take more farms, more farmers and more farmland growing local food. Salem NH Farmers Market is helping build sustainable food to make fresh food from local farms a reality for everyone.

Sustaining local farms and farmland is a sound community investment, as it ensures the public will continue to receive the multiple benefits of agriculture. This involves supporting the business of farming and investing in agricultural and community economic development.

With spring upon us we are all looking forward to the riches of the farmer and what and when we can expect this harvest. At our last market as it was such a beautiful day many attendees were asking where the produce is. I had to explain we do not import our produce but our farms here in New England plant the seeds and grow the vegetables.
