Danville Sex Offender Arrested for Murdering Woman
NH AG: Richard Moore, a man who had been living in her home, allegedly stabbed Jo-Anne Boucher to death on Sept. 2.

DANVILLE, NH — The New Hampshire State Police have made an arrested in the suspicious death case of Jo-Anne Boucher, 51, of Danville, from last week. Richard Moore, 37, of Danville, was arrested on Sept. 9, 2016 ,and charged with one count of second-degree murder.

Moore, investigators stated, allegedly stabbed her “multiple times” and caused her death. He is being held without bail and will be arraigned on Sept. 12.

No other information was released to the public about the case.
Moore, who lived at the same address at one time, is a registered sex offender, having been convicted of two counts of felonious sexual assault against a victim under 13 in 1998. Moore, according to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, had 19 criminal convictions dating back to the mid-1990s. According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, neighbors told police that Moore had been seen walking Boucher’s dog earlier that evening before police were called to the home.
