Elderly Salem Man Bagged On DUI Charges: Police Log

Plus, teens arrested on shoplifting charges, local man charged with restraining order violation, and Manchester man charged with theft.

SALEM, NH — An overdose was reported at 1:51 a.m. on April 5, 2018, on South Shore Road.

Jacob O. Soto, 21, of Cluff Crossing Road in Salem, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. on April 4, 2018, for violation of a restraining order. Police were sent to Morningside Court for a report of an unwanted subject – a woman’s ex, allegedly knocking on her door. He was arrested.

Robert G. Wood, 59, of Ashland Street in Malden, MA, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. on April 4, 2018, for theft by deception – less than $1,000 and willful concealment. He was arrested after police were sent to Home Depot on South Broadway for a report of a man allegedly returning several stolen items. The man left in a navy blue van but was arrested later.

Darryl I. Sargent, 52, of Fairway Drive in Derry, was charged at 11:58 a.m. on April 3, 2018, with driving after revocation or suspension. He was charged after a crash on North Broadway at Range Road and then released on a summons.

A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested at 3:22 p.m. on March 25, 2018, for willful concealment after an alleged incident at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Jorge Alvarado Jr., 39, of Hanover Court in Manchester, was arrested at 8:34 a.m. on March 25, 2018, on two counts of willful concealment – more than $1,500+ and a warrant. Police were sent to the Salem Village Market on South Broadway for a report of two men who were intoxicated inside of a vehicle. One of the men – Alvarado – had a felony warrant out of Nashua.

Larry W. Vitale, 61, of Packard Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 9:29 p.m. on March 24, 2018, for aggravated DUI – 0.16+ and DUI. Police were sent to The Copper Door on South Broadway for a report of a vehicle swerving and driving up onto the curb. After a field sobriety test, he was arrested.

Marissa A. Miranda, 24, of Columbia Road in Dorchester, MA, was arrested at 6:40 p.m. on March 24, 2018, for willful concealment and theft detective device remover. She was arrested after an alleged incident at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Jaumell L. Clayton, 27, of East Cottage Street in Boston, MA, was arrested at 6:06 p.m. on March 24, 2018, for willful concealment after an alleged at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Joseph Montanez, 20, of Highland Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. on March 23, 2018, for willful concealment after an alleged incident at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Jude Butler, 68, of Lowell Road in Salem, was arrested at 3 p.m. on March 23, 2018, for aggravated DUI – 0.16+, DUI, and DUI – adult more than 0.08. Police were sent to a crash on Lowell Road near Trolley Lane. After a field sobriety test, Butler was arrested.
