Elderly Salem Woman Arrested On Resisting, 4 Assault Charges: Cop Log

Teen charged with robbery, lying to cops; Manchester man charged with DUI; Mass. man faces robbery, burglary, DUI, domestic violence counts.

SALEM, NH — Nyah Velasquez, 20, of Pearl Street in Manchester was arrested at 7:14 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2023, on a theft by unauthorized taking-$1,001 to $1,500 charge. A 15-year-old was also charged with robbery and false report to law enforcement. Police were sent to Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park for a report of three women shoplifting, with one “actively fighting” inside the store. Officers took two women into custody; one was a missing juvenile out of Manchester, police said. DCYF sent a staffer to Salem to pick up the girl. Later, she was taken to Parkland Medical Center. Velasquez was released on personal recognizance.

A 16-year-old was charged with a possession-use of tobacco product by a minor violation at 4:52 p.m. on Aug. 9. A 14-year-old was also charged with willful concealment. Police were sent to Ulta Beauty on South Village Drive for a report of two boys stealing fragrances. Later, they left the store, and ran into police. Family members of the boys were called to pick the children up.

Police were sent to Tyler Street for an unattended death at 9:31 a.m. on Aug. 9.

Raymond J. Matthes III, 45, of Henderson Circle in Salem was arrested at 12:06 a.m. on Aug. 9 on an arrest without a warrant-domestic violence. He was arrested at his home after New Hampshire State Police issued a be-on-the-lookout call for his arrest.

Amanda N. Hartford, 32, of Wentworth Street in Manchester was arrested on a bench warrant at 3:18 p.m. on Aug. 1 and a willful concealment charge, a felony due to two convictions. She was arrested after police were sent to Walmart on North Broadway Street after a shoplifting report. Hartford, police said, also had an active electronic bench warrant. She was released on personal recognizance.

Jerrica Marie Richardson, 28, of Water Street in North Andover, Massachusetts, was arrested on a warrant at 9:24 p.m. on July 30 after a motor vehicle stop at Rockingham Park Boulevard and Mall Road. She was released on personal recognizance and a summons.

Glenn R. Duval, 54, of Bodwell Road in Manchester was arrested at 5:31 p.m. on July 29 on a driving under the influence charge. He was arrested after a motor vehicle stop at North Broadway Street near Walmart.

Lee M. Nelson, 28, of Moonlight Drive in Tewksbury, MA, was arrested at 9:28 p.m. on July 6 on robbery, burglary, driving under the influence, domestic violence-obstructing report of a crime-injury, domestic violence-simple assault, and criminal mischief charges. He was arrested after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Tuscan Boulevard and Rockingham Park Boulevard. Police accused Nelson, who was driving an Acura, of being involved in a domestic incident on Tiffany Road earlier.

John P. Cherubino, 53, of Cluff Crossing Road in Salem was arrested at 6:34 p.m. on July 6 on an unsworn falsification charge. He was arrested on a warrant and released on personal recognizance.

Elizabeth Anne Maglio, 37, of Sargents Place in Gilford was arrested on a bench warrant at 4:51 p.m. on July 6 after a motor vehicle stop at the Brookdale Bridge.

Jeremy Jerome Zamora, 30, of Nesmith Street in Lowell, MA, was arrested at 10:26 a.m. on July 6 on a bail jumping charge. He was arrested on a warrant.

Keven M. Elliott, 31, of Friar Tuck Lane in Nashua was charged at 9:01 a.m. on July 6 with driving after revocation of suspension after a motor vehicle stop at the Red Roof Inn on Red Roof Lane. He was released on personal recognizance.

Mark Anthony Williams, 42, of Evergreen Drive in Goffstown was arrested at 1:39 a.m. on July 6 on a driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent charge after a motor vehicle stop at 7-Eleven on Main Street. He was released on personal recognizance.

Debra A. Lescarbeau, 66, of Pleasant Street in Salem was arrested at 9:58 p.m. on July 3 on resisting arrest or detention and four simple assault charges. She was arrested at Tuscan Market after police were told about a woman who was face down in a gravel lot on the property. Police accused the woman of being intoxicated and arrested her.

Anthony Robert Watson, 41, of Webster Street in Hudson was arrested on a bench warrant at 8:17 a.m. on July 3 and a bail jumping charge. He was arrested at Salem District Court and taken to jail.
