Gilford Man Arrested on Robbery, Shoplifting Charges: Log

Police: Teens arrested on willful concealment charges and a Salem man is charged with issuing bad checks.

SALEM, NH — Robert F. Norton, 51, of South Shore Road in Salem, was arrested at 10:19 a.m. on Aug. 10, 2016, on two charges of issuing bad checks (less than $1,000). He was arrested on a warrant.

Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to Birch Hill Road at 11:37 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2016, for a report of an overdose. The teen was taken to Holy Family by EMTs.

Michelle L. Baker, 21, of Fairway Drive in Derry, was arrested at 12:07 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2016, on a theft by unauthorized taking charge (between $1,001 and $1,500). She turned herself in on a warrant.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on a shoplifting charges at 2:41 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2016, at Lord & Taylor at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Radha Patel, 19, of Fowler Road in Lowell, MA, was charged with willful concealment and possession of a controlled drug-marijuana, hashish, less than 5 grams. They were arrested at Lord & Taylor.

Corey Jacob, 23, of Chase Street in Manchester, was arrested at 7:13 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2016, for willful concealment at the Barnes & Noble on South Broadway. He allegedly took the security tags off merchandise and put them in a baby stroller. He was released on a summons.

Devin McDonald, 41, of Locust Street in North Reading, MA, was arrested at 7:46 p.m. on Aug. 10, 2016, on a bail jumping charge.

Anderson Novas, 24, of Concord Street in Lowell, MA, was arrested at 9:54 a.m. on Aug. 9, 2016, for theft by deception (less than $1,000). He turned himself in on a warrant.

Laina D. Smith, 36, of Riverdale Street in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 1:57 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2016, for robbery. Police were sent to the JCPenney at the Mall at Rockingham Park for a report of a shoplifting incident, with employees fighting with a woman in the parking lot. Later, Smith was arrested and held on $2,000 cash bail.

Ahmed Z. Rob, 57, of North Main Street in Salem, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. on July 25, 2016, for domestic violence-simple assault. Police were sent to North Main Street after a man alleged that his wife was throwing things around the house. He was later arrested.
