NH Man Charged After Children Injured In Salem Bus Crash

SALEM, NH — A New Hampshire man has been charged after a multi-vehicle crash last Thursday in Salem that injured 21 people, including numerous children, from two states. Police charged Jeremy McNally, 37, of Concord, with negligent driving. He's accused of driving a dump truck into a pickup truck on Route 28 near Lake Street.

That crash led to the pickup truck colliding into the back of a school bus, causing the injuries, according to Joel Dolan, the deputy chief of police in Salem.

"There were 21 people who sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the crash, including 17 children and adults," Dolan stated. "The bus was transporting 43 people at the time of the crash, who were associated with a private summer camp."

The children were from both New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Dolan, in a statement, also thanked the New Hampshire State Police for their assistance in the investigation.

McNally is due in 10th Circuit Court-Salem on Sept. 23.
