Overdose Reported in Rockingham Poker Bathroom: Log

Police: Salem and Methuen residents charged with shoplifting; Mason man arrested on a drug charge after a driving complaint.

SALEM, NH - Megan L. Giera, 32, of Pleasant Street in Salem, was arrested at 12:37 p.m. on April 25, 2016, for willful concealment (two prior convictions), endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of a controlled drug. She was arrested at the Kohl’s on Cluff Crossing Road, reportedly with a small infant. Giera refused bail and was held.

Melody Wood, 19, of Edgewood Avenue in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. on April 25, 2016, for willful concealment after police were sent to the Walmart on North Broadway for a report of shoplifters.

Nicholas J. Costenbader, 25, of Brookline Road in Mason, was arrested at 6:06 p.m. on April 28, 2016, for possession of a controlled drug (marijuana, hasish, less than 5 grams). He was arrested after police received a motor vehicle complaint about a vehicle “all over the road” that was tailgating a woman and then passed her, crossing over the double yellow lines, according to a report. The vehicle was stopped at Lowell Road and Brady Avenue and Costenbader was arrested.

At 9:24 p.m. on April 28, 2016, Salem Police and Fire and Rescue teams were sent to a report of an overdose in the poker room bathroom at Rockingham Park.
