Pair From Manchester Arrested On Drug Charges At Salem Rest Area: Police Log

SALEM, NH — Dorothy K. Simons, 51, of River Road in Manchester, was arrested at 2:33 a.m. on Aug. 1, 2017, for theft of services ($1,000 or less). She was arrested on a warrant.

Paul R. Marino, 34, of Essex Street in Manchester, was arrested at 9:03 p.m. on July 27, 2017, for possession of a controlled drug-heroin/crack, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, and breach of bail. Also arrested was Benny S. Ranes, 40, of Dutton Street in Manchester, for possession of a controlled drug-heroin/crack, falsifying physical evidence, and resisting arrest or detention. Officers were requested to assist at the I-93 rest area for a report of activity and they assisted in capturing two subjects attempting to hide from police.

Nicholas J. Leeman, 28, of Colonial Avenue in South Portland, ME, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. on July 26, 2017, for possession of a controlled drug. Officers were called to the Red Roof Inn for a report of a black SUV with what appeared to be occupants “snorting drugs,” according to dispatch. They also thought there might be children in the vehicle. Police arrived, called for a second unit, and one person was arrested.

Argenis Acevedo, 22, of Farley Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. on July 26, 2017, for driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest or detention, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled drug, and a bench warrant. Officers on Broadway were flagged down by two people that reported an erratic driver just turned off I-93 and onto Route 28 South. Officers found the vehicle at Cumberland Farms, investigated the man, and arrested him.

Josseline Medrano, 20, of Silver Street in Haverhill, MA, and Andrew Mendoza, 20, of Dawes Street in Lawrence, MA, both received a summons at 6:47 p.m. on July 26, 2017, for possession of a controlled drug after a suspicious vehicle call on Manor Parkway.

Andrew N. Dow, 19, of Henry Taylor Street in Salem, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. on July 26, 2017, for possession of a controlled drug. A 16-year-old juvenile was also charged with possession/use of tobacco products by a minor. They were charged after a report of suspicious persons on School Street.
