Police Seek Assistance ID’ing iPhone Theft Suspect

Salem Police: Does the man in red look familiar? He's a suspect in this case. Police would also like to speak to a witness who was with him.

SALEM, NH — The Salem Police Department is asking for the public’s help solving a stolen cellphone case from Feb. 27, 2017, according to a post on Facebook. Police reported that at Walmart on that day, an employee accidentally left her phone at a self-checkout station and walked away.

“No less than 10 seconds later, the male in the red sweatshirt walked up to the register and immediately put the phone in his pocket and then exited the store,” the post alleged. “The male in the green sweatshirt without a doubt was with him and saw it.”
