Red Cross Assisting Adult, Pet Dog Displaced by Fire in Salem
The fire was reported last night on Princess Drive.

SALEM, NH — The American Red Cross is helping a local resident displaced by a fire on Princess Drive in Salem last night, according to a press statement. One adult and their pet dog were displaced by the fire, according to Janet Vaughn of the Red Cross.
Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers have met with the resident to ensure they had a safe place to sleep and have food, clothing, and other essentials, Vaughn noted.
"Over the next several days, Red Cross client casework volunteers will stay in contact with the resident and provide referrals as they begin the road to recovery," she added.

The fire was reported at just past 9 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2017, according to alerts on Twitter, and quickly knocked down by firefighters.
