Rhode Island Man Arrested On 5 Protective Order Violation Charges
Salem Police Log: Man arrested on domestic violence charge; overdoes on South Broadway; stolen Volkswagen recovered.

SALEM, NH — Steven C. Lopes, 43, of Main Street in Warren, Rhode Island, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2019, on five counts of violation of a protective order. He was arrested at police headquarters.
Jesse J. Silva, 30, of Jackson Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested at 12:51 p.m. on Sept. 18, on theft by deception-$1,001-$1,500 and issuing bad checks-$1,501 charges. Silva was arrested at police headquarters.
Mohammed Rochdi, 46, of Haverhill Road in Salem, was arrested at 8:04 a.m. on Sept. 18, and charged with domestic violence-simple assault. He was arrested at police headquarters.

5:56 a.m. on Sept. 19: A crash was reported at Rockingham Park Boulevard and I-93.
10:08 p.m. on Sept. 18: Police were sent to the Red Roof Inn for a report of a disgruntled guest yelling at an employee.

6:53 p.m. on Sept. 18: A hit-and-run incident was reported at Walmart on North Broadway Street after a gray Nissan Altima reportedly struck a truck on Route 28 South. A second caller reported the vehicle turned around after exchanging words with another motorist.
6:04 p.m. on Sept. 18: A shoplifting incident was reported on Market Basket on South Broadway.
5:24 p.m. on Sept. 18: Burlington MA Police reported recovering a stolen Volkswagen in that community on Aug. 17.
2:18 p.m. on Sept. 18: An overdose was reported on South Broadway Street.
9:40 a.m. on Sept. 18: State police reported a fight with approximately 20 teenagers at the rest area on I-93. They were gone on arrival.
