Mega Millions Expected to be Half a Billion by Friday
No winner on Tuesday makes the July 8 estimated $508 million jackpot the seventh largest lottery offering ever.

CONCORD, NH – There were no winners in the Mega Millions drawing on July 5, 2016, which means that Friday’s jackpot will increase.
According to lottery officials, the expected jackpot for July 8, will be around $508 million, making it the seventh largest amount in lottery history.
“At more than a half-billion dollars, this New Hampshire Mega Millions jackpot is creating incredible buzz throughout New Hampshire,” said Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. “Sales are way up. Our players are incredibly excited. Now is the time to get in on the winning! Come Friday, we are hoping to have a $508 million New Hampshire winner.”

The estimated one-time cash payout option should be more than $357 million before taxes, according to McIntyre.
To play Mega Millions, players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers – five different numbers from 1 to 75 and one number from 1 to 15 – or select Easy Pick. A player wins the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing. The odds of winning are 1 to 258,900,000, according to the New Hampshire Lottery.
