Nashua Schools Could Close Amid Looming Bus Driver Strike
The Nashua schools superintendent said city schools could be closed due to a looming bus driver strike.
NASHUA, NH — A temporary deal among Nashua bus drivers and their employer averted a schools closure this week.
Nashua schools Interim Superintendent Cornelia Brown said Wednesday schools could be closed because of the looming strike. First Student, which has a contract with Nashua schools, is in a labor dispute with a union representing bus drivers over pension benefits.
No strike has been announced yet as the two sides continue talks.
