Salem Firefighters Battle Three-Alarm Blaze on Haverhill Road
Mutual aid from other communities help fight Thanksgiving DAy fire.

SALEM, NH — Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to Haverhill Road, at a two and a half story home, at around 9 a.m. on Nov. 24, 2016, for a fire, according to alerts online. After about 15 minutes, a second alarm was called with mutual aid – including Danville and Windham firefighters – sent to help knock down the fire.
The third alarm was called due to water supply issues, according to alerts, but the blaze was brought under control by around 10 a.m. Two people were taken to the hospital Holy Family Hospital with injuries.

American Red Cross volunteers assisted firefighters and also assisted residents, ensuring they had a safe place to sleep, food, clothing, and other essentials, Dan Brown of the Red Cross stated in a press release.
