SALEM, NH — A local man was arrested this morning and scheduled to be arraigned in Rockingham County Superior Court today after allegedly robbing the 7-Eleven on Cluff Crossing Road, according to police. Mohamed Nweiran, 37, of Salem, was arrested on Oct. 17, 2017, on a single count. Police were sent to the store at just before 3:45 a.m. for a report of a holdup alarm, according to Capt. “The clerk told officers he observed a male enter the store wearing a blue sweatshirt, grey ski mask, and black sneakers with red shoelaces,” Dolan stated. “The male was also carrying what appeared to be a long black pipe with a white object attached to the end.”
Nweiran allegedly walked behind the counter and demanded the clerk open the register, took the cash as well as some scratch tickets, and fled the store toward Route 28.

Officers confirmed the alleged activity on surveillance video footage while also calling in a K-9 unit to track down a possible suspect. The K-9, Dolan noted, led officers to the Brook Village West apartment complex on Cluff Crossing Road.
“Officers were able to speak with the owner who indicated they had recently terminated an employee whom lived in the apartment complex,” Dolan alleged. “The owner was able to review the security footage and indicated the suspect had the same build and physical characteristics of the employee he had recently terminated.”
Officers and the K-9 unit went to the apartment to try and find the suspect and later found him inside of his apartment.
“As they were making contact with him, they could see a pair of sneakers with red shoe laces as well as a long, black pipe with a white object on the end, similar to the one seen in the robbery footage,” Dolan said.
Nweiran was arrested and held.
