Salem Man Gets Probation for False Statements to the VA
Steven Petrillo was sentenced to two years in U.S. District Court for lying on a job application about being terminated from pharmacy jobs.

CONCORD, NH — A Salem man was sentenced to two years probation on Aug. 16, 2016, after making a material false statement to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, according to the U.S. District Court.
Steven A. Petrillo, 46, of Salem, was sentenced after a jury found him guilty of providing a false statement to the VA in connection with seeking a position as a pharmacist at the VA Medical Center in Manchester.
"In his application, Petrillo certified that he had never been discharged from any former employment," according to U.S. Attorney Emily Gray Rice. "During a jury trial in May of 2016, testimony from several witnesses established that Petrillo had been terminated from two prior pharmacist positions."
