Michael Wynn of Epping was also arrested recently and charged with drug possession.

The Salem Police Department is investigating a number of heroin overdose reports earlier this month.

According to a report, on May 16, at around 4:15 p.m., police were sent to a residence where a 20-year-old man was reportedly not breathing or conscious. He was later transported to Holy Farm Hospital in Methuen, MA, where he was pronounced dead.

The next day at around 3:30 a.m., officers and Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to another residence for a 24-year-old woman who was reportedly having an overdose. EMTs administered Narcan and the victim was transported to the hospital.

About five hours later, they were called back to the same address, this time for a 23-year-old man who was overdosing.

“The male was found unconscious in his bedroom with his 4 year-old daughter laying next to him,” according to Lt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “He was later pronounced dead at Holy Family Hospital.”

Also on May 16, around 11:30 p.m., police were sent to the McDonald’s Restaurant for a possible intoxicated man stumbling around the parking lot.

“The male drove out of the parking lot prior to the arrival of officers,” Dolan noted. “He was later located in the parking lot of the Circle K store on North Broadway.”

The man, Michael Wynne, 34, of Epping, was taken into custody and charged with heroin possession. He’s due to be arraigned in court on July 6.
