Salem Police Log: Man Arrested for Dragging Woman by the Throat from Vehicle
Plus, Sandown woman, teen arrested for shoplifting and Salem men arrested on drug charges.

Peter K. Nightingale, 23, of Lemay Road in Salem, was arrested at 3:19 p.m. on Aug. 28, 2015, on two counts of possession of a controlled drug. He turned himself in to police on a warrant.

Jamel Perez, 22, of Ashton Place in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. on Aug. 28, on a bench warrant. He turned himself in to police.

A 17-year-old was arrested at 3:35 p.m. on Aug. 29, for willful concealment at the JC Penny at The Mall at Rockingham Park.
Joshua J. Williams, 34, of Baldwin Street in Salem, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. on Aug. 29, for transportation of drugs in a motor vehicle and possession of controlled drugs. He was arrested after police were sent to the Cumberland Farms on Broadway for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident.

Jerid Morton, 26, of Drew Woods Drive in Derry, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. on Aug. 29, and charged with second-degree assault, two counts of simple assault, and criminal threatening. Officers were sent to a domestic incident at Oakridge Avenue after witnesses reported two men grabbing a woman by the throat and pulling her from a vehicle. The men later fled the scene while the woman was on the ground in the parking lot. The first officer spoke with the woman before she was transported to Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA, while another officer caught up with the two men. Morton was arrested and held on $3,000 cash bail.
Paul F. Perry, 46, of South Policy Street in Salem, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 30, on three criminal mischief charges as well as resisting arrest or detention and disorderly conduct. Officers were called to the street for a report of a man out-of-control throwing things at vehicles and yelling. He was later arrested and held on $5,000 cash bail.
Linda S. Conway, 58, of Sandown, was arrested at 8:43 p.m. on Aug. 30, for willful concealment after a shoplifting incident at the Kohl’s on Cluff Crossing Road.
A 17-year-old was arrested on a warrant for operating without a valid license and later released on a small summons.
