Salem Police Log: Mass. Woman Arrested for DUI

Plus, numerous willful concealment charges issued at Macy's, Lord & Taylor, and overdose reported on Shannon Road.

Derek T. Castonguay, 43, of Caron Street in Manchester, was arrested at 8:11 a.m. on Nov. 6, 2015, on a warrant from the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

Jennifer K. Kane, 40, of Chestnut Farm Way in Rayham, MA, was arrested at 5:32 p.m. on Nov. 6, for willful concealment at Lord & Taylor at Rockingham Park Boulevard.

Rebecca M. Tshibangu, 30, of Eastern Avenue in Manchester, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. on Nov. 6, for willful concealment after the Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park. She was released on $500 cash bail.

Mary T. Khan, 54, of Temple Drive in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. on Nov. 7, on a DUI-impairment charge. Police were sent to the Shaw’s Supermarket on Cluff Crossing Road for an employee reporting an “unresponsive female parked in the lot” inside a Subaru that still had its engine running. Police arrived and later, arrested Khan.

Nicholas A. Balsamo, 27, of Henry Street in Salem, was arrested at 2:24 p.m. on Nov. 8, for receiving stolen property ($0 to $1,000) and theft by deception ($0 to $1,000). He turned himself in on a warrant.

Travis S. Laponsee, 31, of Salvail Court in Nashua, was arrested at 2:49 p.m. on Nov. 8, for willful concealment (two prior convictions), false report to law enforcement, and a warrant from an outside agency. He was arrested at Lord & Taylor on Rockingham Park Boulevard. Laponsee had an active warrant out of Hillsborough County. and was put on a probation hold.

George Sassman, 40, of Mohawk Road in Somerset, MA, was arrested at 5:38 p.m. on Nov. 8, on a willful concealment charge. He was arrested at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to Shannon Road for a report of an overdose at 5:48 p.m. on Nov. 8. A caller reported that her son’s friend was unconscious in his car. The man was later transported to Parkland Medical Center.
