Salem Police Log: NY Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Underage Teen
Plus, Derry man charged with DUI; Manchester man, Hudson woman face drug charges.

Colleen E. Courtovich, 23, of Russell Drive in Stratham, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2015, on a bench warrant. She was arrested at Salem District Court and held on $1,500 cash bail.

Gurjinder S. Ghotra, 23, of Franklin Avenue in Brooklyn, NY, was arrested at 1:47 p.m. on Sept. 15, for felonious sexual assault (victim 13-15) and endangering (solicit sex). He was arrested on a warrant, refused bail, and was sent back to the Rockingham County Jail. According to online reports, he is accused of assaulting a girl from Derry at a Salem motel on Sept. 8, 2015.

Timothy E. Mooney, 39, of Northshore Road in Derry, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. on Sept. 15, for DUI-impairment and breach of bail. Police were sent to an accident without injury at Haverhill Road and Klein Drive. After an investigation, Mooney was arrested and released on $500 cash bail.
Two 16-year-olds were arrested at 6:39 p.m. on Sept. 15, for willful concealment at the Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park. Both were released to their parents.

Jonah P. Welby, 26, of President Road in Manchester, was arrested at 9:13 p.m. on Sept. 15, and charged with possession of a controlled drug, Schedule 1, 2, narcotic, possession of a controlled drug (heroin/crack), and a bench warrant. Also arrested was Jade Martineau, 20, of Elmwood Drive in Hudson, who was charged with false report to law enforcement, possession of a controlled drug, Schedule 1, 2, narcotic, and possession of a controlled drug (heroin/crack). Police were sent to Lowes on South Broadway for a suspicious persons report. When they arrived, they were given a description of the pair who were allegedly “known shoplifters in the store.” The employee said it was unknown if they stole anything. Police arrested both Welby and Martineau. Welby refused bail and was sent to jail.
