Salem Police Seek Tips in Store Theft Case

Investigators: This man allegedly stole books from Barnes & Noble. When told cops would be called, he allegedly said, "Good luck with that."

SALEM, NH — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying an alleged book thief, according to a post on Facebook. At just after 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2017, the store manager of Barnes & Noble called police to report an alleged theft of about $400 worth of books.

“When he was stopped and asked to come back in the store, he refused,” police alleged. “He was advised the police were going to be called and he responded ‘Good luck with that.’”
