The Salem 8U Softball All Stars finished tied for 3rd in the NH State Tournament over the weekend of July 12-14th. There are 54 organized Babe Ruth Leagues in the State of NH eligible to field 8U teams in tournament play.
Salem started 0-3 in pool play on Friday and Saturday which made them the lowest possible seed entering single elimination play in the 90+ degree weather on Sunday. Salem upset #7 Lakes Region 15-10 Sunday morning, then stunned #2 Rochester 17-15 Sunday afternoon, then immediately played in the Final 4 matchup, losing to Barrington in a hard fought game where Salem scored 7 runs in the first 2 innings, then tailed off when exhaustion set in.
Team members are: Julia Bourgoin, Kaylee DiMarino, Alyssa Forman, Hannah Grande, Katie Jamer, Haley Karakaya, Kendall Migliorini, Erin Nigohosian, Viviana Pacaya, Laura Thomas-Roy, Amanda Twombly & Sarah Wall.

The team will be finishing its season July 27-28th in Londonderry NH.
