Here are the candidates who won seats and the decisions made by voters on March 8, 2016.

SALEM, NH - Voters went to the polls on March 8, 2016, and voted in competitive races for Board of Selectmen and Budget Committee races as well as ballot questions and budget decisions.
In the Board of Selectmen’s race, Lisa Withrow easily won the seat with 1,611 votes, besting Paul Pelletier – who received 702 votes and Janine LaFauci – who earned 529 votes.
For the two three-year Budget Committee seats, DJ Bettencourt won one of the seats with 1,245 votes and Steven Chartrain won the second seat with 1,211 votes. Kenneth Tarara came in third with 821 votes and Steven Goddu received 807 votes. Patrick McDougall rounded out the pack with 646 votes.

For the single one-year seat, Thomas Plante beat Paul Welch, 1,353 to 1,113.
