Get Ready to Vote on Tuesday, Salem
Competitive races for Board of Selectmen, Budget Committee; voters choose between $44.2M or $40.5M budget; $66.8M for schools also eyed.

SALEM, NH - Voters in Salem go to the polls on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, for the annual town election. Polls are open in town from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Competitive races include three candidates running for a single Board of Selectmen's seat, five candidates running for two three-year Budget Committee seats, and two people running for a single, one-year Budget Committee seat.
Along with numerous zoning and town warrant articles, voters will decide between a $44,160,803 town budget or a $40,471,914 default budget. Voters will also decide to accept collective bargaining agreements with Salem Police Relief and AFSCME. Voters will also make decisions about the school department's $66,822,610 budget.
