South Carolina Man Stole Car, Crashed In 3 Cop Cruisers: Salem PD
Daquhan Cromer was arrested on reckless conduct, drug dealing, stolen property, and other charges after a chase that began in Haverhill.

SALEM, NH — A South Carolina man was arrested on a slew of charges after a stolen vehicle chase beginning in Massachusetts and ending on Route 28 in Salem Monday. At around 9 a.m., an officer was alerted via a stolen vehicle tracking device that a 2010 Honda Accord was stolen in Haverhill, MA, and might be in the area. Police located the vehicle later at the Park View Inn on Route 28.
According to police, officers approached the Honda and spoke to the driver, Daquhan Cromer, 22, of Greenville, SC, who is accused of attempting to drive away, with a passenger in the vehicle, behind the building on a lawn, nearly striking an employee at the Inn.
"He continued driving in the parking lot, striking a parked vehicle and two Salem Police cruisers," according to a report. "One cruiser has been taken out of service for repairs following the crash and the second sustained minor damage. The parked vehicle in the lot sustained minor damage."

Police continued to chase Cromer through several parking lots, the Cole's Trailer Park, and then, south on Route 28. After allegedly striking a third police cruiser, he stopped at the entrance of Tuscan Village and was accused of fleeing on foot. Cromer was later arrested by police. Police allegedly located a large bag of drugs, suspected to be heroin and/or fentanyl, in the middle of Route 28, right after he was taken into custody.
Cromer was charged with possession of a controlled drug-heroin/fentanyl with intent to sell, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, receiving stolen property, conduct after an accident, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest or detention, and driving after suspension. He was held at Rockingham County Superior Court and will be arraigned Tuesday.
