Stolen Car, Hunt for Guns, Leads to Arrest of 5 Juveniles: Log
Police: Teens, Salem, and Haverhill residents also arrested for shoplifting.

SALEM, NH — A 16-year-old was arrested for willful concealment at 4:19 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2016, after an alleged shoplifting incident at Spencer Gifts at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Two 13-year-olds, two 12-year-olds, and an 11-year-old were all arrested at 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2016, for willful concealment. One teen was also charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, one less than $1,000 and the other between $1,001 and $1,500. The two 12-year-olds were also charged with violation of probation or parole. According to a report, officers were sent to Kmart for a report of three subjects running from the store, one of them reportedly with a gun or BB gun. While running, one of the kids reportedly put the gun in a shopping cart near Burger King. Police caught two of the juveniles while one reportedly ran into Market Basket. Officers began searching the area for a second gun that was reportedly thrown under a vehicle, according to dispatch. Three other juveniles were found and police located a vehicle the kids were using that was reportedly stolen out of Lawrence, MA, according to police. They were all arrested and then, released to their parents.

Steven Bateman, 28, of Whittier Street in Haverhill, MA, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2016, for willful concealment after an alleged incident at the Lowes on South Broadway.
Molly H. O’Reilly, 26, of Shannon Road in Salem, was arrested at 9:19 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2016, for willful concealment after an alleged incident at Lord & Taylor at the Mall at Rockingham Park.
