Two from Boston Arrested on Robbery Charges
Salem Police: Tips lead to the arrest of Lane Holloman and Melody Williams after alleged shoplifting incident at Lord & Taylor in February.
SALEM, NH — Two Bay State residents were arrested in Manchester yesterday after allegedly pepper spraying employees at Lord & Taylor during a shoplifting incident that turned violent in February, according to police. Lane Holloman, 30, of Boston, and Melody Williams, 31, of Boston, were arrested on May 11, 2017, on two counts each of felony robbery. According to police, officers were sent to the Mall at Rockingham Park on Feb. 15, to investigate a violent attack against loss prevention employees at the department store involving both the spray and hot coffee.

The officers took statements and released still shots of the alleged perps as well as surveillance video footage of the attack while requesting tips, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department.

“Upon releasing the video footage to the media, several anonymous tips came into the detective division,” Dolan noted in a press statement. “(A) Salem detective was able to work with officers from the Boston Police Department and obtain identities on the two individuals involved in the incident.”
Dolan stated that both Holloman and Williams were arrested in Manchester yesterday and turned over to Salem officers. They were processed on robbery charges and held. Holloman and Williams are expected to be arraigned this morning in Salem District Court.
