WATCH: 7-Eleven in Salem Robbed Again

Salem Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed the store on Jan. 27, 2016.

SALEM, NH - The Salem Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a possible suspect involved in a robbery last night at the 7-Eleven convenience store on 108 Cluff Crossing Road.

It’s the second time in less than a week that the store has been hit, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department.

According to Dolan, at just after 11 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2016, a man walked into the store and demanded money from a female clerk. The male fits the same description as the suspect in the Jan. 21 robbery.

“This time,” Dolan stated, “he was wearing blue jeans, dark footwear, a red jacket, a gray scarf/shirt pulled up to cover his face, and a red hat. The male walked into the store, called out to the clerk and walked behind the counter. He then escorts the clerk to two registers and emptied all of the money, including change.”

The male was in the store for about two minutes and then fled toward the Lancelot Court condominium complex.

The clerk was physically unharmed during the incident and no weapon was shown, Dolan noted, “However, the male did keep one hand in his pocket the entire time, making the clerk believe he could be armed.“

The investigation into the two robberies is active and ongoing. Any person with information is encouraged to contact Detective Michael Verrocchi at 603-890-2314.
