Woman Arrested After Pursuit Through Three Towns

A local woman is facing a slew of charges after reportedly driving drunk through Salem, Windham, and Derry, according to police.

Amanda Lynn Warren, 27, of Derry, was arrested on July 29, and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, three counts of felony reckless conduct, resisting arrest, reckless operation, operation after suspension, and disobeying a police officer.

According to a report, a Salem officer observed a black Saturn Ion driving recklessly on Cluff Road in Salem, and attempted to make a motor vehicle stop.

The driver, a woman, later identified as Warren, allegedly refused to stop and “eluded the officer on several streets while making an attempt to strike a second Salem Police vehicle head on while on Lawrence Road,” according to a report by Detective Sgt. Thomas Kench.

As Warren approached Lake Street in Salem, an officer attempted to deploy stop sticks. Warren allegedly drove into the stop sticks and then attempted to strike two officers who were outside of their vehicles.

Warren allegedly kept driving into Windham and Derry and then back to Windham, where her car stopped on a dead end road. After a short struggle, she was taken in to custody.

Warren refused bail and was arraigned on July 30.
