• ‘He has family now': Strangers gather to honor Navy veteran's unattended funeral (newenglandnewspress.com) — A Sanbornville woman drove more than an hour to the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery so a Vietnam veteran without known family would not be buried alone, joining about 100 others who answered a public call to attend. Their presence, flowers, and military honors turned an unattended funeral into a community tribute, with one attendee now hoping to locate the veteran’s relatives.
