• Shaheen, bipartisan senators to White House: Release LIHEAP aid ASAP (unionleader.com) — New Hampshire's heating assistance plans for this winter now include higher LIHEAP benefits, and Executive Councilor Joe Kenney of Wakefield is pressing to let families lock in fuel prices early so their aid stretches further. Senators, including Jeanne Shaheen, are urging the White House to release most federal LIHEAP funds before November so New Hampshire's 57,000 eligible households can avoid gaps in help.
