⢠Walpole bond request for new police station falls short by a single vote (magic967.com) ā Walpole voters have narrowly rejected a $3 million bond for a new police station, falling just one vote short of the required supermajority after a packed, sometimes heated meeting. Supporters argued the current station is outdated and too small, while opponents focused on cost, building size, and long-term financial impact. The proposal is expected to return at Town Meeting in March 2027.
