Local Girls Start Off Strong at Home Gymnastics Meet
Local gymnasts get off to a solid start in their first meet of the season.
HAMPSTEAD, NH ~ Gymnasts from Windham, Salem, and Pelham came up strong for their 2011-2012 season opener, taking many of the top spots on the podium in the awards ceremonies.
The girls, all members of the Phantom Gymnastics team of Hampstead, NH, competed at a home meet on Sunday, November 18th against gyms from across the state.

Level 4
Ava Sanchez, of Windham, took first place in the all-around in her first meet with a total score of 36.350. She won first on bars (9.3) and floor (9.2), second on beam (8.7) and 3rd on vault (9.15).

Erin Ross, of Salem, was 3rd in the all-around with a 34.450. She was 3rd on beam, 4th on bars and floor and 5th on vault.
Haley Farrell, of Salem, was 2nd on floor with an 8.9 and 4th on vault with a 9.1.
Jenny Gouthrou, of Salem, was 3rd in the all-around with a total score of 35.2. She took 2nd on bars (9.1) and 3rd on vault (9.15).
Camryn Rueda, of Windham, was second in the all around with a total score of 36.0. She won first place on vault (9.35) and beam (8.75), second on floor (9.0) and 3rd on bars (8.9).
Christina Pelekasis, of Salem, took sixth place on vault, beam and floor and in the all-around.
Level 5
Emily Jones, of Salem, won first place in the all-around with a total score o 35.85. She was first on all the individual events as well with an 8.4 on vault, 9.45 on bars, 9.0 on both beam and floor.
Level 6
Kasey Hartman, of Salem, took first place in the all-around with a total score of 35.75. She was first on bars (9.05) and floor (9.3) and 2nd on vault (8.8).
Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, took second place in the all-around in her age group with a total score of 35.0. She was 2nd on bars (8.75), 3rd on vault (8.5) and 4th on beam (8.85) and floor (8.9).
Jordan Wakim, of Salem, was 2nd in the all-around in her age group with a total score of 34.45. She took 2nd on beam (9.2) and floor (9.2) and 3rd on bars (8.8).
Sydney Chretien, of Salem, took 3rd place in the all-around with a total score of 34.95. She was first on beam with a 9.45, 3rd on vault (8.6) and 4th on floor (9.0).
Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, tied for fifth on the vault, and took 6th on bars and floor.
Phantom Gymnastics is a competitive gymnastics program located on Route 111 in Hampstead and draws gymnasts from across Southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
