Why is the library closed again today?

I am fine with giving the library a day off for Veteran's day but why two days? The library was closed yesterday on the true anniversary of the Armistice but again today it is closed on the "Monday Holiday" which is intended as the alternative observance date. One or the other is fine, but not both.
