Practice of Iaido involves non-sharpened swords, as the student goes from a quiet position, quietly drawing the sword &amp; cutting through the air, all in one motion...finally replacing the blade in its saya [scabbard]. Dating back hundreds of years, today Iaido is primarily a method of self-refinement, sometimes described as Zen meditation in motion, appealing to men &amp; women alike. Classes in Iaido are forming, and new students are welcome.
