Love Thy Neighbor(hood)

The Windham Presbyterian Church is getting ready once again to Love Thy Neighbor(hood)! This pilot program was started in early 2011 by the Missions Outreach Committee, led by Debbie Mackenzie, to reach out to our local community and surrounding towns.  A work day was held in June and several families in Windham were assisted with
projects in and around their home. Volunteers raked lawns, pruned shrubs, painted walls, hung closet rods, and did minor repairs.  Recipients are usually families or individuals who cannot accomplish a project due to physical, financial, or other limitations. Several collections were also held in July for food, toiletries, and small household goods and items were distributed to a Food Bank/Community Center in Springfield, MA for the tornado victims. Another ollection for the flood victims of northern Ma was held in the fall.  The members of WPC and the community have been
very generous!  It is our goal for 2012 to have many projects in and around Windham to assist our neighbors in need. God has blessed our WPC community with skilled laborers, able bodies, and a heart for helping our community! We are looking for projects in Windham and the surrounding towns. We are also in need of businesses who are willing to support this worthy project. Can you donate a few hours, supplies, or any other  resource? Do you know of anyone who could use our assistance for a project day in April? Please contact Debbie Mackenzie at 603-560-1842  or Debbie@DebbieMackenzieRealty.com.
