Five Places to Watch the Bruins Raise the Banner Tonight

Here are five locations in the Windham area to watch the Bruins kick off their championship defense.

If it hasn't sunk in yet, the Boston Bruins are back to defend their title of Stanley Cup champions.

Tonight at 7, the B's will raise the banner at TD Garden before dropping the puck against the Philadelphia Flyers. If you weren't lucky enough to score a ticket to the event that has been 39 years in the making, here are five spots in the Windham area to watch the game with friends.

1. J. MICHAEL'S FAMILY SPORTS PUB: Head over to Rockingham Road for J. Michael's extensive menu of food and drinks. The pub has lounging areas to watch the games as well as eight beers on tap. They also have almost 50 bottled beers.

2. The HALLIGAN TAVERN (DERRY): The century old fire station has a fantastic bar area with a great selection and big screen televisions at every angle. The tavern served as a great congregation for hockey fans during last year's playoffs and will be a great spot to watch this season open up.

3. THE COMMON MAN WINDHAM: The newly renovated bar and grill upstairs opens at 4 p.m. Head over to Range Road to see some hockey action in a cozy atmosphere.

4. T-BONES GREAT AMERICAN EATERY (DERRY): For a very relaxed and communal atmosphere, T-Bones in Derry is a great neighborhood location that isn't far over the Windham border. When you walk in the front door, the central bar to the right features many HD televisions to watch the action.

5. SAYDE'S BAR & GRILL (SALEM): Sayde's 120-inch HD Projection screen is great for watching the B's. They are located on Cluff Crossing Road and offer burgers and drinks on their menu for the game.
