JERSEY SHORE, NJ — A wedding album lost in a Jersey Shore town was quickly reunited with its owner, thanks to a kind woman and the power of social media.
When Megan Harmon was driving through Sea Girt on June 15, she saw a red wedding album on the side of the road, according to a NJ.com report.
The album was from Oct. 4, 1969, the report said. Harmon immediately thought to post about it on Facebook, the report said.

She was right. A friend of the bride's saw the post and within a few hours, the album was returned to its rightful owner, the news site reported.
Though the marriage ended decades ago, Trish, the album's owner, was happy to have it back as the 50-year-old album contains memories of friends and family long gone, the report said.

Trish had taken the album to a New Jersey Questers meeting, a group that preserves historical items. The meeting was on the history of weddings and members were asked to bring wedding albums to share, the report said. Trish had left the album on top of her car before driving away, according to the report.
Trish was thankful that the album was returned to her, and though she and Harmon have not yet met in person, the report said.
