1. The parents of an toddler who was attacked by a pit bull during a borough-wide garage sale in Morris County last year have filed a lawsuit against the homeowners and the borough. 2. Almost six months after his arrest, students of Princeton High School will be honoring alumnus Evan Gershkovich on Tuesday. Gershkovich, a reporter with the Wall Street Journal, was detained by Russia in March during a reporting trip on charges of espionage. (Read more on Patch.)

4. Police used a Taser-type device on a woman who they say approached officers brandishing a butcher knife. Officers had responded to the report of someone laying in the road, and said the woman would not put the knife down as they were trying to talk to her. (Read more on Patch.)

5. Authorities charged a South Jersey truck driver with two counts of murder, after finding a woman's body in the cab of his truck during an investigation at a Maryland distribution center.
