Highway Flooding, GSP Roadwork In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 7:53 a.m., there's a crash on NJ 21 northbound Exit 14 - US 46 in Clifton. All lanes shift.

As of 7:49 a.m., there's a watermain break on US 46 in both directions east of NJ 15 in Dover. Right shoulder closed for repairs.

As of 7:39 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on I-280 westbound west of Exit 7 - Pleasant Valley Way/CR 636 in West Orange. 1 right lane closed.

As of 7:33 a.m., there are delays at the Lincoln Tunnel center tunnel eastbound New Jersey side - Toll Plaza in Weehawken. The travel time is 35 minutes from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 16E to the New York side.

As of 7:28 a.m., there are delays at the Holland Tunnel. The travel time to the New York side is 30 minutes from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14C and 30 minutes from New Jersey 139 at Tonnelle Circle.

As of 6:40 a.m., there's debris on the Garden State Parkway northbound south of Exit 145 - I-280 in East Orange. 1 center lane blocked.

As of 6:30 a.m., there's a disabled vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike- Eastern Spur southbound ramp to Vince Lombardi Service Area in Ridgefield. 1 right lane blocked.

As of 12 a.m., there's construction on US 46 in both directions west of NJ 163 in Knowlton Township. All lanes closed until 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Central Jersey

As of 7:43 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound south of Exit 130B-US 1 in Woodbridge. 2 right lanes blocked.

As of 7:34 a.m., there's debris on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound north of Interchange 8 - NJ 33 in East Windsor. All lanes open.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on I-295 southbound ramp to Exit 68-CR 583/Princeton Pike in Lawrence. All lanes open until 3 p.m., partial ramp closure.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on US 1 northbound from north of Quaker Bridge Road to north of Alexander Road in West Windsor. Right shoulder closed until 3 p.m.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on NJ 26 northbound south of Hermann Road in North Brunswick. Right shoulder closed until 4 p.m.

As of 5:41 a.m., there's roadwork on the Garden State Parkway inner roadway southbound in the vicinity of Exit 109 - CR 520 in Middletown. 1 left lane closed.

South Jersey

As of 6:17 a.m., there's a crash on NJ 55 northbound north of Exit 39 - US 40 in Franklin Township. 1 right lane closed.

As of 5:01am, there's Construction on NJ 70 in both directions between Cropwell Road in Evesham and CR 673/Springdale Road in Cherry Hill. All lanes shift until 11:59 p.m. on July 15.

As of 4:59 a.m., there's flooding on NJ 147 westbound area of Maryland Avenue in Middle Township. 1 right lane closed.

Transit Updates

North Jersey Coast Line and Northeast Corridor NJ Transit lines are under temporary schedule adjustments are in effect for the next six to eight weeks to accommodate major repair work to the Laurel Avenue Bridge in Holmdel. See here for updated timetables.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather

Expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 64 and wind gusts up to 25 mph, the National Weather Service says.
