Did You Spot A Fireball Over NJ? You're Not Alone
The American Meteor Society said it received dozens of reports of a fireball early Wednesday morning.
NEW JERSEY — If you saw a fireball surging across the sky early Wednesday morning, you're not alone — multiple people across New Jersey and the surrounding states sent reports to the American Meteor Society.
The society said it received 35 reports about a fireball seen over New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania around 3:44 a.m. Wednesday.
The New Jersey cities and towns with reported sightings were Atlantic City, Milltown, Long Beach, Wayne, Franklin, Hackettstown, Barnegat, Perth Amboy, Watchung, Linden, Wallington, Hamburg, Milford, and Manasquan.

Most people reported that they saw the fireball move up left and down right, and at least one described it as being blue and looking like a lightning strike.
