Election Day 2023 In NJ: Who's On The Ballot, Where To Vote
All 40 of NJ's legislative districts have elections this year, and there are races at the local and school level. Here's what to know:

NEW JERSEY — This is an important election year in New Jersey, with all 120 legislative seats in the statehouse on the ballot in front of voters. With Election Day approaching and mail-in ballots being sent out this week, Patch has the details on who voters will see on the ticket, and where to vote.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and in-person early voting begins Oct. 28.
All 40 of New Jersey’s legislative districts have elections this year for state Senate and General Assembly seats. Democrats hold a 25 to 15 majority in the state Senate, and a 46 to 34 majority in the state Assembly.

Early voting and mail-in voting
The deadline to register to vote in New Jersey has passed.
In-person early voting for the general election will be Oct. 28 through Nov. 5. Hours will be Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. Click here to see the list of early voting locations by county.
Any New Jersey voter may apply for a vote-by-mail ballot by completing the application and mailing to their county clerk's office, by Oct. 31.
Otherwise, you must get your vote-by-mail ballot in-person from your county clerk, by 3 p.m. the day before Election Day (Nov. 6).
Then, you may return the ballot by mail, in a secure ballot drop box, or at the county Board of Elections office. Mail-in ballots must be dropped off or postmarked by 8 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 7).
